Raman Iyer is a Development Manager in the SQL Server Business Intelligence group at Microsoft and one of the founding members of the SQL Server Data Mining team. Raman currently leads the development of next generation capabilities in SQL Server Analysis Services. Beyond data mining, his interests include Big Data technologies, distributed systems and NLP. Raman was a relational database guy prior to his venture into data mining and business intelligence - he has worked on the SQL Server Storage Engine team at Microsoft and on the Replication Server and database client products at Sybase Inc. Raman holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune in India and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Washington in Seattle.
